Back to the usual crew this week. I figured out the menu when the weather report was saying it would be coolish and rainy during the Saturday. Turned out to be hot and humid, not a great combo when running two ovens for much of the day. Still dinner was tasty.

Mashed potatoes
Roasted yellow beets with vinaigrette
Sauteed cousa squash w/shallot and lemon zest
Home baked bread from the hands of ted_badger
Bread pudding with apricots & sour cherry caramel
We had 16 folks sitting for dinner this past Saturday (9 adults, 7 kids). Granted one of the kids used a highchair however we still ended up using the larger folding table and spots at the island to accommodate everyone.
It was a fun night and I think everyone enjoyed the food. Here’s what we ate…
