Saturday night – 01/19/2013

Late update on this one; it totally slipped my mind. Which is OK I suppose since they are mostly for my reference.

Menu
Chicken and Sausage Bake (based on a recipe from Nigella Feasts)
Green Rice
Roasted Rainbow Carrots
Green Salad with apples and radishes
Homemade whole wheat rolls

Brownies and vanilla ice cream

Notes
There were 11 of us for dinner this week (7 adults; 4 children).

The salad components and carrots came from the Wayland Winter Farmers’ Market. We found both watermelon and black radishes which made a nice mix. The black radishes were a bit spicier than the watermelon ones. Both went well with the apple. I made a simple vinaigrette to go with the salad.
