Saturday night – 07/06/2013

We had a small group of friends over this week as over half the regulars were away on vacation and day trips. It allowed us the luxury of making something we rarely cook on Saturday night, beef.

Beef Stroganoff
Buttered Egg Noodles
Wax Beans with fresh herbs

Rice pudding with plums flambé.

There were 6 of us for dinner this week (6 adults; 0 child).

I made a double recipe of the stroganoff. It was very well received.

16 oz. of noodles was barely enough for the 6 of us. Crazy.

The wax beans were steamed in the microwave and tossed with a mix of oregano, parsley and tarragon which was cooked briefly in melted butter.
