Saturday night – 05/13/2017

My husband took a two-day motorcycle training class this weekend and I knew he would be weary when he returned home. I went with a comfort-food menu. As a bonus it was also fairly easily managed by one person over the course of several hours.

Oven Barbecued Ribs
Baked Macaroni & Cheese
Braised Swiss Chard with Bacon
No-Kneed Bread

Chocolate Chip Cookies

8 gathered for dinner this week (7 adults; 1 kid).

I expected more people for dinner so I made a double recipe of ribs and mac & cheese along with 2 bunches of chard. There will be plenty of leftovers for lunch.

One of these days I remember to slash the top of the bread before baking it.
