My family joined us for Christmas brunch today, which was a potluck sort of affair. It was a fun day despite 7″ of new snow overnight that pushed are gathering time back a bit.

13 gathered for brunch (7 adults; 6 kids).
The fruit salad du jour consisted of watermelon, papaya, pineapple and Fuji apple.
We had a number of leftover popovers; something I’ve never encountered. After a bit of web searching I found a suggestion that reheating them in a 450°F oven for 5 minutes would recrisp them and warm the inside. Not bad with a bit of soft butter as a evening snack.
